Conditions:
This grid is intended for people who know the basics of the language concerned.
Duration
The exercises are to be done in one hour maximum.

Methods
To be done individually.

Role of the trainer/appraiser 
The trainer can in certain cases read the instructions and the examples (e.g. for dyslexics, partially-sighted persons, etc.)

Validation indicator:
In the case of an evaluation carried out at the end of a teaching module, the person who answers at least half the questions satisfactorily could be considered as having validated the module.

Category A - ORAL COMMUNICATION

Category B - FIND OUT – COLLECT INFORMATION

Find documentary information

Fix objectives before collecting information; use the knowledge you already have; ask yourself the right questions.

Classify information  Use a simple classifying system.
Classify documents according to one single criterion.
Use information Find discrepancies between the questions asked and the answers given.
Ask questions about a simple document: Find and note down specific information in a simple document in order to answer yes/no questions.

Category C - UNDERSTAND A MESSAGE

Analyse a message

 Find the elements which show the meaning of a simple message.

 Order and classify the elements of a simple message.
Understand instructions.
